Why use sky overlays?
Adding a dynamic sky is actually a very easy, quick, and effective way to introduce drama, excitement, and emotion into your images. You can bring an image from just “okay” to a whole new level of “wow” by simply replacing a blown out or flat sky with a beautiful sky overlay!
How will the right sky overlay affect your image:
- Compliment the existing feeling or create emotion in the image.
- Help lead the eye into the subject and story.
- Make your image more dynamic and interesting.
- Look incredible in print, especially in enlargements where a dull or flat sky occupies a lot of space.
- Be a valuable addition to creating composite images.
The story behind HelloGlow Emotional Skies:
I have collected all my skies from throughout Canada, from the Niagara Escarpment in Ontario to the prairies of Manitoba to the mountains of the Fraser Valley in British Columbia. I have used a variety of focal lengths so you are assured to find skies in each pack to accommodate all the various perspectives you might be shooting with. The skies I select are unique, dramatic, and visually striking. Before I shoot a sky for my collection, it must make me stop and catch my breath – so I know for sure that’s the effect it will have on images.
The skies are all provided in the highest resolution JPEG files, so you are assured easy blending.
